DR FRANCISCO JAVIER NAVAS
Veterinarian/zootechnician with quantitative and molecular genetics, biostatistics and phenogenomics background. His main research line is entitled "Breeding and Conservation of Endangered and/or Autochthonous Animal Populations” and focuses on the study of genetic diversity in animal populations to ensure their sustainability via characterization (genetic, zoometric, reproductive, functional, environmental, productive and sociocultural) and the development protective structures (studbook, breeder associations, conservation programmes). Afterwards, this line studies strategies to improve breeding programmes efficiency and ensure animal populations societal circular profitable relationship.
